Data Analyst - forecasting (Anchorage, AK)

Harborlight Quarry Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Anchorage working with agencies and riders, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in accessibility audits and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on ridership counts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
