Data Analyst - forecasting (Anchorage, AK)

Fernwood Cross Banking Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for loan files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on account openings. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
