Data Analyst - forecasting (Anchorage, AK)

Lumen Loom Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Anchorage, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in promotions and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on online orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
