Data Analyst - dashboard development (Wichita, KS)

Amberfield Lakeside Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Wichita. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Investigate trends in ridership counts and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
