Data Analyst - dashboard development (San Jose, CA)

Lumen Amber Financial serves customers across San Jose with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in vendor spend and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on regulatory reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
