Data Analyst - dashboard development (San Jose, CA)

Northwind Pine Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in San Jose. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. We value patience and follow-through. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in repair requests and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on waiting lists. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
