Data Analyst - dashboard development (San Diego, CA)

Fernwood Wilder Medical is a San Diego company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in device records and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on regulatory submissions. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
