Data Analyst - dashboard development (San Diego, CA)

Fernwood Thistle Learning Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for attendance records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in attendance records and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
