Data Analyst - dashboard development (Salt Lake City, UT)

Amberfield West Energy is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 192 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in outage response and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on meter readings. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
