Data Analyst - dashboard development (Rochester, NY)

Summit Quarry Environmental Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for collection routes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 145 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in collection routes and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on fleet maintenance. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
