Data Analyst - dashboard development (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Sparrow Transit Planning Partners and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be dashboard development. You would join a large organisation of about 770 people based in Reno. What you will do • Investigate trends in fare systems and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
