Data Analyst - dashboard development (Reno, NV)

Westbrook Yarrow Civic Services supports public agencies in Reno with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in constituent requests and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on permits. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Reno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
