Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Summit Early Learning Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be dashboard development. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in family communication and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on licensing records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
