Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Fernwood Quill Energy is an energy provider in Birmingham focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in outage response and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on usage data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
