Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Rivermark Thistle Insurance is an insurance company in San Jose with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on premium billing. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
