Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Fernwood Junction Water Authority is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
