Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Redstone Forge Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Des Moines. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Investigate trends in accessibility audits and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on ridership counts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
