Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Harborlight Amber Learning Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for attendance records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 587 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate trends in attendance records and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on student accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
