Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Northwind Mill Inspection Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for test reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in test reports and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on client sites. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
