Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Westbrook Timber Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Hartford. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on customer complaints. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
