Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Amberfield Oak Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Chicago working with agencies and riders, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on service alerts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
