Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Northwind Ember Construction is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in safety records and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
