Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Cedar Timber Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Minneapolis, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. You would join a large organisation of about 694 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in policy renewals and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on underwriting files. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
