Data Analyst - dashboard development (Pittsburgh, PA)

Northwind Sparrow Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Pittsburgh. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. You would join a small organisation of about 157 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Investigate trends in landfill records and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on collection routes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
