Data Analyst - dashboard development (Oakland, CA)

Fernwood Nest Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Oakland, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in family communication and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on meal programmes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
