Data Analyst - dashboard development (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Rook Water Authority and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be dashboard development. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in water quality and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
