Data Analyst - dashboard development (Minneapolis, MN)

Silverline Willow Construction is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 420 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in permits and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on materials orders. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
