Data Analyst - dashboard development (Madison, WI)

Cedar Junction Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Madison. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Investigate trends in catastrophe response and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
