Data Analyst - dashboard development (Indianapolis, IN)

Cedar Loom Insurance Group is an insurance company in Indianapolis with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in catastrophe response and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on premium billing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
