Data Analyst - dashboard development (Hartford, CT)

Ironwood Orchard Arts Center is an arts centre in Hartford with a full calendar of events. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in volunteer programmes and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on event logistics. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
