Data Analyst - dashboard development (Detroit, MI)

Northwind Ember Early Learning Group runs childcare centres in Detroit caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in licensing records and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on classroom supplies. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
