Data Analyst - dashboard development (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Bright Juniper Civic Services and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be dashboard development. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in case files and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on public records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
