Data Analyst - dashboard development (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Basin Foods Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for customer specifications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Investigate trends in customer specifications and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on production batches. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
