Data Analyst - dashboard development (Charleston, SC)

Amberfield Group supports public agencies in Charleston with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in public records and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on procurement. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
