Data Analyst - dashboard development (Buffalo, NY)

Summit Ember Medical designs and makes medical devices in Buffalo, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in production lots and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on device records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
