Data Analyst - dashboard development (Boston, MA)

Nova Cross Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Boston. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. Benefits and stability attract long tenure. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in constituent requests and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on budget submissions. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
