Data Analyst - customer trends (Virginia Beach, VA)

Ironwood Lakeside Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Virginia Beach working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a large organisation of about 885 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
