Data Analyst - customer trends (Savannah, GA)

Fernwood Birch Freight Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Investigate trends in carrier rates and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on customer tracking. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
