Data Analyst - customer trends (San Jose, CA)

Highbridge Sparrow Civic Services Group supports public agencies in San Jose with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in budget submissions and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on case files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
