Data Analyst - customer trends (San Jose, CA)

Clearpath Ashton Civic Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for constituent requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in constituent requests and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on permits. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
