Data Analyst - customer trends (San Diego, CA)

Fernwood Bright Insurance is an insurance company in San Diego with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on underwriting files. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
