Data Analyst - customer trends (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Bright Water Authority and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be customer trends. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
