Data Analyst - customer trends (San Diego, CA)

Lumen Maple Early Learning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for classroom supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in classroom supplies and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on licensing records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
