Data Analyst - customer trends (Salt Lake City, UT)

Cedar Beacon Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Salt Lake City, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 155 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in production lines and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on machine downtime. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
