Data Analyst - customer trends (Salt Lake City, UT)

Nova Junction Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Salt Lake City, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on catastrophe response. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
