Data Analyst - customer trends (Sacramento, CA)

Silverline Vale Water Authority Group operates treatment plants and pipelines around Sacramento, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in meter reading and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
