Data Analyst - customer trends (Sacramento, CA)

Cedar Amber Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Sacramento. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
