Data Analyst - customer trends (Rochester, NY)

Bluepeak Kestrel Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Rochester and nearby communities, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in billing accounts and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on capital projects. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
