Data Analyst - customer trends (Richmond, VA)

Amberfield Junction Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Richmond and nearby communities, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on water quality. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
