Data Analyst - customer trends (Richmond, VA)

Ironwood Hollow Freight is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in carrier rates and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on claims. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
